There is a battle going on all around us. I have felt it so much lately. We do not fight against flesh and blood, according to Paul, but against rulers and principalities of this dark world. So how do we gain the victory? By staying close to Christ, soaking in His Word, His music. We will have the ultimate victory.
One thing I am still learning and want to convey is this. You know those people who drive you nuts? You know even family, spouses, friends who drive you nuts? Those sandpaper people at work who just make you want to scream? Even customers you have to deal with? Well, here’s a news flash, in case you didn’t know. They are not the enemy! Sometimes, I know I feel like they are, but the ultimate enemy is using them to get to you. So instead of seeing those people as the enemy, tell the true enemy of your soul, Satan, to get behind you. Realize that the people in your life are victims too. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Isn’t that the truth? They are loved by God, and we need to show them love and compassion. Also, remember that if they don’t have Jesus living inside of them, they are powerless to fight against these dark forces. Remember that we have jesus fighting for us, and we can tell Satan to flee in Jesus’ Name. They cannot. They need our prayers more than anything.
Life is hard, but we can have the victory.
